Killing Floor, even when it launched in 2009, never really had bleeding edge graphics. The most immediate benefit to upgrading to Killing Floor 2 comes in the way of visuals. That could easily change with Killing Floor 2 though, as it does a fantastic job of capitalizing on the successes of the first, while glossing over some of the possible missteps of that players might not have enjoyed as much. I leveled up a couple of the classes, and pulled off my share of headshots, but it was never a game that drew me back in like it had done to so many of my gaming friends. While I enjoyed the game, I never devoted as much time to it as it really wanted from me. My time with Killing Floor 2 was spent mostly trying to compare it to the original release on Steam. Now, nearly six years later, Killing Floor 2 is launching on Steam Early Access, promising the same fast, frenetic, classic feel of the gameplay, with updated visuals and design elements. In 2009 it finally released as a standalone game, offering up all the blood, guts, gore, and carnage for players to enjoy without the hassles associated with a mod. It began back in 2005 as a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004, gaining an audience of dedicated fans who pushed it to become more. McAfee, Malwarebytes and AVG didn't find anything after countless scans but I'm all up for others to scan them also.Killing Floor has lived a strange life. Feel free to scan them for viruses and let me know if you find anything. If you copied that file, it would remove all your settings and server favs.

So, if anyone would like to give the mod a try, I have combined V1 and V2 files of the mod and removed a few files like the killingfloor.ini file they had in there which was not needed. However from the description of the mod, the mod is suppose to also help those with low and mid graphics also.

Textures are more detailed and I did see a performance in FPS it seems as I run everything on Max settings already. I myself love the true lighting because when an area should be dark its dark and the lighting is way way way better with this mod. Giving them more detail along with true lighting(which can be turned on and off on the fly by pressing Shift and F12). This mod doesn't really make KF look like KF2, but brings Textures and such to life. The reason I like KF is because of it's dark look compared to KF2 Gloss on Everything shine look. After doing around 10 McAfee virus scans and 10 malwarebytes scans and 5 AVG virus scans (I'm not joking I'm really that bad on checking files.) I installed the mod and it makes KF look even better. The listing for the mod was listed as "Ultimate graphic mod v2 (Bring KF2 graphic to KF1)". This mod isn't required of course, I just found it today and it's pretty sweet :D Nice job by the person who made it :)Ĭopied the below from the write up on my forums:
